Support for the moments modern parenting didn't prepare you for.
They slammed the door. You have 30 seconds before you make it worse.
Your 13-year-old just said: "You don't get it." "Leave me alone." "Everyone hates me." "You're ruining my life."You're trying to stay calm. But nobody taught you how to raise a kid through smartphones, AI, social media, anxiety, group chats, and constant comparison — all at the same time.
Steady is the calm voice you reach for in the next 30 seconds.
Your parents never had to navigate any of this:
But you do. Daily. Often at 11 PM. Often without a second adult in the room who's been through this exact moment.
And most parenting advice still sounds like it's from 2004.
Steady is built for the parenting you're actually doing — not the parenting your books described. Modern developmental research. Calm guidance in the moment. Real human coaches when you need a thinking partner. Crisis escalation built in, because some moments need humans, not chat.
These are real questions from real parents. Not edited for tone. Not made comfortable.
Therapists are for clinical care — diagnoses, treatment, sustained mental-health work. Parents are the relationship. Steady is the layer between everything-is-fine and we-need-clinical-help. Most family moments live in that layer. Steady is built for those moments.
In these moments Steady routes immediately to a human coach, provides crisis hotlines, and helps you find clinical care. The AI never handles these moments alone.
Grounded in Lisa Damour, Becky Kennedy, Jonathan Haidt, *The Anxious Generation*, and current developmental research.
Clinical advisors on staff. Coach team includes LMFTs, LCSWs, Psy.Ds with 5+ years of teen and family work.
Safety-critical moments route immediately to a human and to crisis resources. The AI never handles those alone.
We never sell your data. Never train models on your family without explicit opt-in. Export or delete everything any time.
Think of Steady as the wisest, most emotionally-regulated parent you know — available the moment you need them, knowing your family, never tired, never judging.
Ask Steady on text or voice. It knows your family — the kids' names, ages, what's worked before, what just happened last weekend. It responds in seconds with a real answer for *your* family, in *this* moment.
A real human coach matched to your situation — anxiety, school, neurodivergence, divorce, college pressure. Monthly or weekly sessions. They walk in already knowing your month.
A small, moderated community of parents going through the same in-between years. No public shame. No advice-pushing. Weekly themed conversations led by the Steady team. Launches month six.
Every Steady+ and Concierge family is matched to a coach trained in the specific terrain you're navigating. No one-size advice from someone who hasn't been in your particular middle of the night.
Teen anxiety, depression, OCD, post-clinical-care support.
Executive function, dyslexia, twice-exceptional kids, college pressure.
Diagnoses, IEPs, daily strategies that actually work for neurodivergent teens.
Co-parenting alignment, blended-family dynamics, the conversations no one prepares you for.
I have a kid in the in-between years. The conversations I'm having now are not the conversations I was having two years ago. The research changes monthly. The technology changes weekly. The school changes daily. My kid changes hourly.
I'm not a therapist. I'm not a clinician. What I am is someone who has spent the last decade building tools that help humans think more clearly under pressure. Steady is the most personal version of that work I'll ever build.
The coaches are real. The research is cited. The voice is calm. And when it actually matters — when it's a real crisis — Steady steps back and the humans step in. No exceptions.
If you're a parent in this phase and the thing you keep saying to yourself is "I just want someone to think this through with me," that's what we're for.
Steady through the in-between years.
Choose how much human you want in the loop. Move up or down at any time.
Founding family pricing: $99/mo flat for the first 6 months. 50 spots, then locks in regular pricing at month 7. In exchange we ask for weekly feedback calls and (optionally) a written case study. The point isn't the discount — it's that you help us build the version of Steady that actually works.
10 through 17. We don't serve younger kids (different developmental window, different parent voice) or college-age (different problem set). If your 9-year-old is operating at a 7th-grade emotional level, get in touch — we can talk.
You spend ten or fifteen minutes telling Steady about each kid when you sign up — age, school, recent events, what's been working, what hasn't. The voice builds context from there as you use it. You can edit or delete anything Steady remembers at any time.
Yes. Two-parent and single-parent households are fully supported. Co-parents who don't live together can each have context without merging — useful when you're aligning on screen-time or weekend rules across two homes.
Many parents tell their kids. Many don't, at first. There's no right answer. If they do find out, the framing that lands is honest: "I'm using something to help me be a better parent to you." Most teens, once they know the alternative was you Googling at 11pm, respect it.
It is — compared to a meditation app. It isn't — compared to one therapy session ($150–$300), a college consultant ($500–$5,000), or the cost of the next two years going wrong. Steady is priced for parents already investing seriously in their kid's development and wanting the connective tissue between those investments.
Your family's data is yours. We never sell it, never train models on it without explicit opt-in, you can export or delete everything at any time. Coach conversations are confidential to the coach and Steady's operations. We're working toward SOC 2 certification.
Three things. It knows your family across conversations (so you don't re-explain who your kids are every time). It's grounded in named research — Lisa Damour, Becky Kennedy, Jonathan Haidt — not generic advice. And when something is a real crisis, it routes to a human coach immediately. Most chatbots do none of the three.
$99/mo flat for 6 months. Weekly feedback. A founding role in shaping what becomes the steady presence for modern parents.
